OF&G position on use of feed additive, Bovaer, in organic systems

We have received a number of enquiries relating to new feed additive, Bovaer, and its use in organic systems.

All organic milk is required to conform to organic regulations under UK law and all organic operators are inspected and audited each year.

The organic regulations provide details on whether certain products can be used. Having assessed the main ingredients in Bovaer, these fall outside of those regulations meaning that Bovaer could not be used on organic farms.
