The event has grown in attendee numbers and in profile as each year we open the doors to partners who work with us to build a great food and farming conference.
The aim of the event is always multifunctional; to encourage new entrants, to help inform and celebrate existing organic practitioners, and to promote key market and policy messages.
And core to the whole event is giving people the opportunity to come together, share food, swap notes, and to nosey around somebody else's place.
For the 18th annual OF&G organic on-farm event we will be hosted on two organic farms, we’ll hear from two organic farming families, and we will hold two farm walks, all on one day.
Both farms are on the Yorkshire Wolds, both have been farming organically for 25 years, and both run a mix of enterprises.
The Sellers family, Tim, Caroline and their daughters Hester and Jessica have around 192 hectares of land and a milling operation as part of the Side Oven Bakery on the family’s Carr House Farm near Driffield.
Mike and Kate Stringer and their family farm 345 hectares organically, with some acreage under conventional management, at High Callis Wold near Stamford Bridge. Their livestock enterprises include 60 suckler cows and followers and 505 breeding ewes.
More details will be available in due course.
