Leonardite powder is sourced from naturally occurring mineral seams which are extremely high in humic contents. The main constituents are humic acids, fulvic acids and humin. It will gradually release humic substances into the soil, improving biological activity and nutrient cycling. Leonardite powder is also a useful addition to composts, manures and substrates used for growing crops. Its high humic matter makes it useful to add to composts when peat alternatives are required.
