The IQ RPW Push and Pull method is an innovative, preventive strategy for managing the Red Palm Weevil (RPW), a devastating pest of palm trees. This approach combines two complementary actions: a natural repellent is applied to the palms, which "pushes" adult weevils away from the trees, preventing infestation. Simultaneously, strategically placed traps baited with aggregation pheromones are set up outside the protected area to "pull" and capture the repelled adults. By breaking the pest’s reproductive cycle without heavy insecticide use on the palms, this system offers an environmentally friendly, sustainable solution. It effectively reduces the need for curative treatments after infestation occurs, lowering palm mortality and treatment costs. Ideal for date plantations and ornamental palms, the IQ RPW Push and Pull system ensures healthier trees, minimizes chemical residues, and supports integrated pest management programs for long-term, effective weevil control.
