HIMALAYAN PINK ROCK SALT:

Rock salt, commonly known as halite, is a type of natural salt found in sedimentary rocks. Rock salt consists of ›› گلابی نمک‹‹ sodium chloride (NaCl) in pure form along with other impurities. “Pink Rock Salt/ Pink Salt” or (Gulabi Namak) in the Urdu language, is the name of the Geographical Indication.

It is the finest grade of Pink Rock Salt that is exclusively found and mined in the Salt Range region of Pakistan, which is located in the foothills of the Himalayas.

Pakistan’s Pink Rock Salt is unique due to its natural pink colour and composition, therefore highly sought after in the international market with the popular name of Himalayan “Pink Rock Salt” which is being exported worldwide from Pakistan.

The finest grade halite is pure with a purity level ranging from 97-99% many pinkish shades in the rock salt are due to trace minerals including calcium, iron, potassium, magnesium, etc. It is exclusively found and mined in the Salt Range Mountains of Pakistan.

Pakistan’s Pink Rock Salt is unique due to its natural pink colour and high food grade quality which can be directly crushed for human consumption, unlike sea Salt. It is primarily used as a food additive to replace refined table salt but is also used for cooking. The product has huge international demand with the popular name of Himalayan Pink Salt and is exported worldwide.

It is found in the main three-colour variations.

- White- light pink, Light to medium pink and Dark pink to red.
