OF&G launches RSS news feed

Organic Farmers & Growers has today enhanced its website with a new RSS feed of its popular news items.
As part of the continued improvement of OF&Gs’ online services, the new feed gives users of news aggregator software the opportunity to keep up-to-date with OF&G news along with any other feeds they are subscribed to.
Simply clicking on the RSS icon on any OF&G news page will take the user to the feed’s page from which they can copy the address into their news aggregator software or online service.
RSS (or Really Simple Syndication) allows users to pull numerous news sources together in one place, saving them the time and effort of visiting lots of different websites on a regular basis.
OF&G PR & Media Manager, Mark Waugh, said: “Many people are now making use of RSS and as our news pages are one of the most popular areas of our website we thought it was time to offer this ability to our readers.
“Simply copying the feed address allows it to be added to the growing range of personalised services such as Google Personalised, My Yahoo!, Windows Live, and many others.”

Many modern web browsers, such as Firefox and the soon to be released Internet Explorer 7, allow users to view RSS feeds via their bookmarks or through the browser directly.
