OF&G featured in new shoppers guide

Defra has launched a new pocket-sized guide to green labels in a bid to educate shoppers.

The Organic Farmers & Growers logo is highlighted in the guide as one of the signs shoppers can look for to assure them about the standard of the product they are buying.

The credit card-sized fold-out guide explains the meaning of green labels and demonstrates some of those commonly found on organic produce.

OF&G PR and Media Manager, Mark Waugh, said: “This is a very helpful guide for shoppers because there are so many logos and labels out there for them to try and understand.

“OF&G is delighted to be part of this and we are playing our part in distributing the guide to our licensees.”

Organic retailers and other organisations can order copies of the guide free from Defra to make available to their customers and OF&G would urge them to do so.
