Helping small & medium scale grain supply chains be commercially viable
Date: 18th September 2018 Location: Pitcot Farm
Welsh Grain Forum
This is a joint event with the Welsh Grain Forum, the Organic Research Centre, Organic Arable and OF&G.
10.30am start followed by some discussion and a farm walk with a round up of discussions/actions at the end.
The aim is to address where there is a mismatch between the needs of farmers and those of millers and bakers.
Discussion will focus on a variety of topics and to look in some detail at outline legislative requirements that can add cost/value.
The meeting will be a gathering of growers, millers and bakers to look at, and to discuss, where things are and where things can be developed for the benefit of small and medium sized food and farming businesses. Refreshments will be provided.
The meeting will be informal, with participants from the most experienced to newcomers encouraged to share experiences – both positive and not so, with the aim of developing a better understanding between producers and low volume local markets. The event is free to attend but please book your place by calling Kathy on 08456 521 706 or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org
Directions and further details will be sent out nearer the meeting.
